Sheriff’s Homicide detectives have arrested a second man in connection with the shooting death of a woman in Foothill Farms last week. Marquon DeAnthony Green-Vasquez, 23, was booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail earlier this week on a charge of murder. He is ineligible for bail.
On March 22, 2013 at approximately 1:30 p.m., Sheriff’s deputies responded to the Cambridge Park apartments at 5800 Hamilton Street, regarding gunshots being fired. Upon arrival, deputies discovered 30 year-old Deandra Horton dead at the scene from multiple gunshot wounds. A 31 year-old man who was also shot was taken to a hospital, and is expected to survive his injuries.
Shoreem Bryant, 29, was arrested on March 23rd in connection to this case, and remains in custody. Investigation led detectives to identify Green-Vasquez as a person responsible for this crime, as well. Within several hours of the incident, Green-Vasquez admitted himself to a hospital in Walnut Creek, California, to be treated for a gunshot wound. Detectives located him there before transporting him back to Sacramento County for booking.
Detectives are still investigating this incident, and believe that Horton was an unintended victim of the shooting that took place. Anyone with information pertinent to this crime is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau at (916) 874-5115. Tip information may also be left anonymously at www.sacsheriff.com, by texting to 274637 (CRIMES) and entering the keyword SSD, or by calling (916) 874-TIPS (8477).
Due to the ongoing nature of the investigation, booking photographs for Bryant and Green-Vasquez are not yet being released.
