28 Year Old Dies Following Auburn Boulevard Shooting

At approximately 11:15AM yesterday (May 18, 2014), the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department responded to the 5500 block of Auburn Boulevard for reports of a shooting.  When Deputies arrived, they were told a male victim had been shot and was transported to a local hospital by a private vehicle.  

 Witnesses at the scene described the suspect as a white male driving a late 1990’s compact Dodge 4-door vehicle.  

Deputies responded to the hospital and confirmed that a male victim (28 years old), had been shot and was currently receiving medical treatment.  Late last evening, the Coroner’s Office confirmed the male victim had succumbed to the gunshot wounds and died.  The victim’s identity will be revealed by the Coroner’s Office pending notification of next of kin.
