On Saturday June 7, 2014 at approximately 1426 hours, Jeremy Cunningham (35 years of age) of Carmichael was riding a 1999 Titan Gecko motorcycle eastbound on Fair Oaks Boulevard approaching Southcliff Drive at approximately 70 MPH in the #2 lane and had entered a portion of the roadway that curved to the left.
Due to his speed, Cunningham lost control of his motorcycle and was unable to negotiate the curve. The motorcycle struck a guardrail causing Cunningham to be ejected onto the roadway. He sustained major injuries and was transported to Mercy San Juan hospital.
At approximately 1910 hours Cunningham succumbed to his injuries. Cunningham was wearing his helmet at the time of the collision.
