At approximately 6:30PM last night (March 12, 2014), the Sheriff’s Department patrol deputies responded to a call of a stabbing at the 2300 block of Wyda Way.
As deputies arrived and began their preliminary investigation, they determined there were three victims with stab wounds as a result of the initial altercation; two adult males (aged 41 and 29 years old) and one male juvenile.
All three victims were transported to local hospitals for medical treatment.
Information gathered from multiple witnesses suggest a group of suspected gang members targeted the male juvenile and followed him to a residence on Wyda Way where they initiated a fight and stabbed him. Two uninvolved adult males who came to the aid of the juvenile victim were also stabbed. The suspects fled the scene and have not yet been identified.
We received information early this morning that the 41 year old male victim has died from the injuries he sustained during the violent altercation. His identity will be released by the Sacramento County Coroner’s office once next of kin has been notified.
The remaining two victims remain in stable condition.
