Sojourner Truth’s Banana Festival at William Land Park — 8/9-10!
The 5th Annual Sacramento Banana Festival is an exciting two-day festival that kicks off with a 5k run/walk on Saturday. Guests can enjoy a fun-filled weekend with food, exciting live entertainment and special exhibits. The event benefits the National Academic Youth Corp., which provides art and educational programs for more than 15,000 local youth and adults every year, as well as for a dozen other worthy local charities. Hands on History: Commemorating 175 Years at Sutter’s Fort — 8/16!
The community is invited to a very special “Hands on History: Commemorating 175 Years” event at Sutter’s Fort State Historic Park. In addition to commemorative activities, special guests and interpretive presentations, a variety of hands-on activities will be available that day.
