SACRAMENTO, CA,– Assistance League of Sacramento (2528 Yorktown Avenue) is thrilled to announce a major community fundraising event, Catch the Dream, at the Dante Club on April 24, 2014.
“The demand for our philanthropic services has grown over the past few years and we realize that we could clothe more children and homeless women with the revenues from a larger thrift shop.” said Mary McPherson, president. “We currently operate our eight philanthropic programs and Assistance League Thrift Shop from leased premises. We hope to double our space and expand our ability to serve local children, women and families. Our Catch the Dream capital campaign will enable us to do so.”
The Catch the Dream Community Event will be a huge celebration of the power of the volunteer and the work of Assistance League of Sacramento. The event is open to the public and will take place on Thursday, April 24th from 6pm-9pm. The event will feature a live Auction with wonderful auction items and the entertaining style of Benefit Auction Specialist, David Sobon
In addition to the auction, the evening will include a four-course dinner with wine and a special fundraising Wall of Wine. Some outstanding auction items include two Lake Tahoe Vacation homes, a Limo Wine Tour in Almador Wine Country, a Fishing Trip on the Sacramento River with professional guide, a Vacation Home at Lake Almanor including a sail boat, and one night at Donatello’s in San Francisco including a $75 gift certificate towards dinner.
