The Sacramento Grange invites the community to celebrate Hemp History Week with two events at the Grange on June 6 and 7. Both events will feature a screening of the documentary Bringing It Home.
On June 6, Anna Owen of the Industrial Hemp Association will host an industrial hemp museum display beginning at 5 p.m. in the State Grange conference room. Finger foods, fruit, vegetables, water and tea will be available and beer and wine will be sold for $2 and $3 per glass.
Following the museum display, Bringing It Home will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Grange Performing Arts Theater next door. There will be a Q&A after the movie.
On June 7, there will be a BBQ dinner in the State Grange conference room at 4 p.m. It will include chicken, hot dogs, salads, fruit, desserts, water and tea and costs just $10 per person. Participants can also bid on items donated from local businesses in a silent auction.
Following the BBQ, Bringing It Home will begin at 7 p.m. in the Grange Performing Arts Theater Next door. There will be a Q&A after the movie.
The State Grange is located at 3830 U Street where Stockton Blvd. meets U Street.
