Double Murder on Howe Ave in Sacramento

On April 12, 2010, at 2:40 p.m., Sacramento County Sheriffs deputies responded to a shooting call at Howe Avenue and Bluebird Lane. Deputies arrived and located a green BMW coupe that had crashed into a fence and come to rest in the yard of the residence on the northwest corner of Howe Avenue and Bluebird Lane. The deputies found a Black male adult lying next to the cars drivers-side door. He had suffered multiple gunshot wounds. Deputies also located a Black female adult sitting in the front passenger seat of the car. She had suffered at least one gunshot wound. Paramedics arrived and pronounced both victims dead at the scene.

Sheriffs Homicide detectives have learned the victims were driving southbound on Howe Avenue when an unknown suspect vehicle pulled along side their car. The occupant(s) of the suspect vehicle fired multiple gunshots at the victims and fled the scene. The victims car crashed into the fence after they were shot. The wounded driver was able to step out of the vehicle, but collapsed next to the car where he was found.

Witnesses were unable to provide detectives with a description of the suspect vehicle or the occupants of the vehicle. A motive for this shooting has not been determined.
