Police Beat 1: Northeast Roseville
East Roseville Parkway, theft: Between 12:40 and 1:43 p.m. August 3, someone stole a delivered package of baby food from a porch in the 1900 block of Edinburgh Street.
East Roseville Parkway, vehicle break-in: At about 6:15 p.m. August 3, someone smashed the window of a car parked at a restaurant in the 2000 block of Taylor Road, and took a wallet and its contents, an iPod, clothing and other items. A suspect seen on video surveillance was a white male wearing a red baseball cap, red shirt and white shorts, driving a white 1990s model Ford Explorer. East Roseville Parkway, vehicle break-in: Between 1:30 and 10:40 a.m. August 4, someone punched the lock of a car parked in the 1900 block of Taylor Road and took a book bag containing books and other small items.
Police Beat 2: East Roseville
Johnson Ranch, burglary: At 6:26 a.m. August 3, officers responded to an alarm at a store in the 3900 block of Douglas Boulevard, and found that someone had forced entry through the front door and took cash from the cash register.
Johnson Ranch, burglary: Overnight August 6/7, someone forced entry into the back door of a restaurant in the 8600 block of Sierra College, and took cash from the cash register.
South Cirby, theft: Between 8:20 and 8:30 p.m. August 1, someone reached in through the open window of a car parked in the 1800 block of Cirby Way and took a purse from the front seat.
South Cirby, vehicle break-in: Overnight August 1/2, someone smashed the window of a pickup parked in the 1400 block of Knollcrest Drive and took a backpack and a portable printer.
Cirby Ranch, vandalism: Overnight July 27/28, someone shot a BB gun at a parked car in the 1300 block of Sun Tree Drive, and slashed the tires of another vehicle.
Cirby Ranch, garage burglary: Between midnight and 6 a.m. August 2, someone went into a garage in the 1200 block of Sleepy Hollow Way and took a laptop and cash from a car parked inside. The garage door may have inadvertently been left open overnight.
Meadow Oaks, theft: At about 9:35 p.m. July 30, a woman left her purse in her unlocked car for a few minutes while she was at the gas pumps in the 900 block of Sunrise. When she returned, her purse was gone.
Sierra Gardens, mail theft: Sometime August 1 or 2, someone stole prescription medication from a mailbox in the 1700 block of Quail Circle.
Sierra Gardens, theft: Overnight August 4/5, someone pried open toolboxes mounted in the bed of a pickup in the 1500 block of Oak Tree Drive and stole several power tools.
Lead Hill, vehicle break in: At 6 a.m. August 3, a woman parked her SUV near the Miner’s Ravine trailhead in the 500 block of North Sunrise, and went for a run. When she returned at 7:30, someone had broken her window and rifled through her car. Fortunately she hadn’t left anything of value in the car, and although her car suffered damage, nothing was taken.
Lead Hill, vehicle break in: At 8:20 p.m. August 5, officers responded to a vehicle break-in that had just happened at a movie theater parking lot in the 500 block of North Sunrise Avenue. A witness saw the suspect, a slender white male wearing a white shirt and black gloves, smash the window of a car and rummage through it. The suspect fled in a red or maroon Toyota Camry or Corolla sedan. The suspect took a movie DVD and a power converter from the victim’s vehicle.
Police Beat 3: Central Roseville, south of the tracks
Cirbyside, vandalism: Overnight July 27/28, someone shot a BB gun at the window of a parked car in the 1100 block of Newport Way.
Cresthaven, attempted vehicle theft: Overnight July 31/August 1, someone went into an unlocked SUV in the 400 block of Greenridge Avenue and tampered with the ignition.
Cherry Glen, mail theft: Between 9 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. July 29, someone stole mail from an unlocked mailbox in the 200 block of Irene Avenue.
Cherry Glen, theft: Between midnight and 11 a.m. August 5, someone stole a bicycle and bike trailer from a backyard in the 100 block of Irene. The stolen bike is a black and white Giant brand men’s 14-speed bike, with an attached green Kidarooz child trailer attached.
Police Beat 4: Central Roseville, north of the tracks
Sierra Vista, theft: Between 1 and 9 a.m. August 3, someone stole a hubcap and damaged another hubcap of a car parked in the 200 block of Roseville Street.
Sierra Vista, burglary: Between 12:30 and 3:18 p.m. August 5, someone pried off a window screen and entered through an open window into a house in the 300 block of Alta Vista Avenue, taking X-Box video game equipment, a handgun, jewelry, and other items.
Roseville Heights, theft: Between 6 and 9:30 p.m. August 3, someone went into an unlocked car in the 300 block of Lincoln Street and took the stereo faceplate and a phone charger.
Roseville Heights, robbery: At 12:35 a.m. August 4, a man walking in the area of Oakland Street and Fig Street was robbed. Four men in a black 1990s model Honda Civic four-door sedan, with a lot of body damage on the doors and side panels, pulled up next to him. The three passengers, all males wearing matching clown masks, got out of the car and confronted the victim. One of them pointed a handgun at him and demanded that he empty his pockets. When the victim said he didn’t have anything, the suspect struck him in the face with the gun. The suspects then took the victim’s cell phone, athletic shoes and baseball cap. Family members took the victim to the hospital for the treatment of facial injuries. Detectives are working to identify and arrest the suspects.
Los Cerritos, garage burglary: Between July 29 and August 4, someone stole a pressure washer from a garage in the 100 block of Pleasant Street.
Police Beat 5: North Central Roseville
Foothills-Junction, theft: Between 1:30 and 2 p.m. July 30, someone stole an unlocked bike from the side of a building in the Brickyard Shopping Center at the corner of Foothills and Baseline. The stolen bike is a white with blue lettering boy’s 21-speed bike.
Foothills-Junction, theft: Between August 1 and 3, someone rummaged through an unlocked car in the 2200 block of Independence Way and took loose change.
Highland Reserve, vandalism: Between July 12 and July 15, someone painted graffiti throughout the Catherine Gates Elementary School campus, causing more than $4,000 in clean-up costs. Again overnight August 5/6, someone broke glass bottles in the playground area and threw them at a classroom window, breaking it.
Highland Reserve, burglary: At 4:05 a.m. August 7, unknown suspects broke into a drug store in the 900 block of Pleasant Grove, targeting drugs in the pharmacy. It’s unknown what was taken. The suspects were described as a black male adult and another male adult wearing a mask.
Industrial East, robbery: At 9:30 p.m. August 4, a woman was robbed of her purse and jewelry on Blue Oaks Boulevard at Niblick Drive. She was walking the short distance from the convenience store at the corner of Foothills and Blue Oaks back to her car on Niblick Drive, when a male confronted her, demanded money, then grabbed her wristlet purse and bracelet, and ran away south into the field next to the road. The robber was described as a dark-complexioned black male in his 20s, 5’10” to 6’0″ tall with a slim build, wearing a black hat, black t-shirt and blue jeans. No weapon was seen. The victim had scratches on her wrist, but declined medical treatment.
Police Beat 6: West Roseville
Junction West, stolen trailer: Between July 5 and July 31, an advertising trailer was stolen from an off-road space on the south side of Baseline Road west of Fiddyment Road. The stolen trailer is 24 feet long and had large advertising displays mounted on it for a real estate business and a waffle restaurant. It’s still missing.
Junction West, theft: Overnight July 31/August 1, someone stole an aluminum ladder from a pickup’s roof rack in the 1900 block of Shropshire Street.
