SACRAMENTO, CA- Today, Clean & Sober, a self-help program for homeless individuals seeking recovery from drug and alcohol addition, announced it will open TurnAround Coffee House in downtown Sacramento on May22.
Located at 724 7th street, the coffee house will be staffed entirely by volunteers and Clean & Sober program alumni who will receive job training for their free services.
Using locally grown beans, TurnAround Coffee House will serve high-quality gourmet coffee drinks as well as pastries and sandwiches supplied by Sacramento-area bakery La Bou.
“TurnAround Coffee is literally changing lives with every cup,” said Antoinette DeVere White, spokesperson for Clean & Sober. “Proceeds will go directly to housing Sacramento’s most in-need residents.”
All proceeds from TurnAround Coffee House sales will help fund Clean & Sober’s ten town homes that provide housing to more than 60 formerly homeless addicts and alcoholics and provides its residents with employment and education opportunities as a path to recovery.
Clean & Sober is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that has been in operation for 20 years. Residents lean to live in sobriety, tend to neglected health issues, reunite with family, and seek employment and/or education
Prior to its public opening, TurnAround Coffee will host a series of soft openings for media, local elected officials and volunteers.
