Ridley Gallery presents "Form • Content • Context", Photographic works by Kirkman Amyx.
This exhibition includes work exploring the use of photography as a data visualization tool which can allow for the seeing of patterns, structure, and meaning through image repetition. These conceptually based projects utilize a hint of science, data analysis, the measurement of time, and the dichotomy between chance and predictability.
Kirkman Amyx is a photographer and digital imaging artist based in Northern California. A graduate with distinction from the Art Center College of Design, Kirkman also has an MFA from San Jose State University and teaches photography at Sierra College in Rocklin California.
This exhibition runs August 25 - September 18 with a reception and Artists talk September 4th from 5:30-7:30.
Ridley Gallery is located on the first floor of the Library/LR 102, on the Rocklin campus, 5000 Rocklin Rd, Rocklin. Regular hours for Ridley Gallery are 11am -6:00 pm Monday through Thursday. Admission to Ridley Gallery is free and open to the public.
There is a $3 parking fee on campus. Parking permits are available at dispensers located on the campus parking lot.
