On July 10, 2010, at 4:46 a.m., Rancho Cordova Police Department officers responded to the report of a shooting at an apartment complex located in the 3000 block of Laurelhurst Drive. Officers arrived and found a 22-year-old male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and lying on a walkway between two apartment buildings. Paramedics arrived a short time later and transported the victim to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Investigators spoke to several residents of the complex who said they heard the sound of an argument followed by multiple gunshots. They saw a male suspect, 5 8 or 59 tall dressed in dark clothing, get into a dark colored sedan and drive away from the scene.
Sacramento County Sheriffs Department Homicide detectives are investigating this murder. They have not identified any suspect, nor have they established a motive for the crime.
