UPDATE: Suspect Capture Reported

Sacramento County Sheriffs Department Child Abuse detectives are asking for help locating 44-year-old Orangevale resident Gary Jay Livers. Detectives believe Livers has had sexual intercourse with an 11-year-old girl on multiple occasions and that the acts began when the victim was 10-years-old.

Detectives learned of the crime when the victim disclosed the acts to her father; who in turn, immediately notified the Sheriffs Department. The victims father and Livers are friends.

Livers works as a tile layer and is an avid hunter. According to Livers wife three rifles are missing from the gun cabinet in their home. Therefore, detectives consider Livers to be armed and dangerous. Detectives also believe he may be suicidal.

Livers (see photo below) is a white male adult, he is 510 tall and weighs 175 pounds. He has gray hair and hazel eyes. He is driving a 2005 white Dodge Ram diesel pick up truck with California license plate number 8C31433. The truck has custom wheels, is lifted and has the words Garys Tile stenciled on the sides and rear tail gate.

Anyone who has information regarding the whereabouts of Gary Jay Livers is urged to call their local law enforcement agency, or the Sacramento County Sheriffs Department at (916) 874-5115, or Crime Alert at (916) 443-HELP; or send a text message tip by texting to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter SACTIP followed by the tip information. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
