19 year old arrested for several burglaries

Sheriff's Robbery detectives have arrested a suspect believed to be responsible for a rash of robberies in Rancho Cordova during the past month. Xavier Lomba, 19, was taken into custody at his residence in Rancho Cordova and booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail. He is currently being held on $100,000 bail.

In each of the below listed robberies, the suspect entered the business and brandished a firearm at employees while demanding cash:

05/17/12  Chevron - 2358 Sunrise Boulevard
05/22/12  Subway - 3581 Mather Field Road
05/22/12  Liquor and Food - 10401 Folsom Boulevard
05/29/12  Wienerschnitzel - 11070 Coloma Road
06/06/12  Pizza Guys - 2351 Vehicle Drive
06/10/12 CVS Pharmacy - 3301 Zinfandel Drive

After identifying Lomba as a possible suspect in these robberies, detectives served a search warrant that resulted in the recovery of evidence that implicated Lomba in these crimes. Due to the ongoing nature of the investigation, a photograph of Lomba is not available at this time.
