Sketch Released of Sexual Assault Suspect

Sheriff's Sexual Assault detectives are seeking information related to the sexual assault of a twenty year-old female in the area of Kirkby Way and Walerga Road in North Highlands.

During the early morning hours of July 13, 2012, the suspect approached the victim on foot and engaged her in casual conversation. When the victim attempted to leave, the suspect attacked and sexually assaulted her. The suspect fled the scene on foot, going northbound on Walerga Road.

The suspect (see attached composite sketch) is described as a black male adult in his twenties, dark-skinned, and approximately 5'10" tall with a medium build. He had dreadlocks and wore a dark-colored jacket at the time of the assault.
