Child Molester Sentenced to Prison

District Attorney Jan Scully recently announced that the Honorable Judge Allen Sumner sentenced Edward Bridgeman to a determinate 30 years in prison and an indeterminate 225 years to life in prison. Bridgeman was convicted by jury of seven counts of child molest.

Bridgeman molested a young boy over a three month time period in 2008. He had been previously convicted on two counts of lewd and lascivious conduct on a young female relative.

Deputy District Attorney Nancy Cochrane states, "As evidenced by the conviction, the community has spoken that individuals such as Edward Bridgeman will be held accountable for their deviant actions in Sacramento County."
