There are cash prizes for the top three female & male runners. Awards will also be presented for the top three female & male finishers in each age category.
Pre-registration is available online at www.scleroderma.org/sacramento2012. You may also download a registration form & bring it to the event, or show up early and register onsite.
Registration will begin at 8:00AM. Registration fees for the timed 5k run are $35 for adults, $25 for youths 5-17 (no runners under 5), and fees for the 2m walk/fun run are $30 for adults, $20 for youths 5-17, and children 4+ under are free.

Family entertainment includes a live DJ, a kids zone with a bouncehouse & face painting, a silent auction and raffle. Lori Chung, MD, scleroderma specialist of the Dermatology Immunology Clinic at Stanford Hospital Medical Center, will be speaking about scleroderma. The clinic has been named a "Scleroderma Center of Excellence" by the Scleroderma Foundation.
Scleroderma is a chronic degenerative autoimmune disease that is characterized by a hardening of the body's connective tissue. Scleroderma is a painful, life-altering disease that is fatal in its most severe forms. There are an estimated 300,000 cases of scleroderma in the United States. There is no way to screen for the disease, and there is no cure. Together we believe we can change that, but we need your help!
For more information on our events and how you can help, please contact Jayme Kornfeld, Chapter President, at (916) 832-1102 or visit our website at www.scleroderma.org/norcal. We look forward to seeing you September 9. We challenge you to step out and help us find a cure!
