Sheriff's Homicide detectives have arrested two men in connection with the shooting death of a man last month outside of a motel in north Sacramento. Ceasar Williams, 27, was taken into custody on October 16th and booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail on a charge of murder. Michael Nunally, 28, was booked on the same charge at the Rio Cosumnes Correctional Center, where he was already in custody pursuant to a parole violation.

Shortly after 9:00 p.m. on September 25, 2012, Sheriff's deputies responded to the call of a man shot in the parking lot of a motel in the 2000 block of Arden Way. Upon arrival at the scene, they found a 29 year-old male with a single gunshot wound to his lower body. The victim was transported to an area hospital, where he died shortly thereafter.

Further investigation led to the identification of Williams and Nunally as persons responsible for this crime. Detectives are continuing their investigation, and are considering the possibility that there may be other suspects associated with this case. The motive for this incident remains under investigation at this time.
