Murder Conviction in South Sac Carjacking Attempt
District Attorney Jan Scully this week announced that Taurus Aquarius Baker was convicted by jury for the first degree murder of Joseph Wayne Bush with the special circumstance that the crime was committed during an attempted robbery.
On the afternoon of February 8, 2006, Baker shot and killed Joseph Wayne Bush during an attempted carjacking in the parking lot of a shopping center on Mack Road in south Sacramento.
Baker faces a maximum sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole. Sentencing is set for January 18, 2013 in Department 21 before the Honorable Steve White.
