Sacramento Ski & Board Festival at Cal Expo
If you weren't able to get up to Lake Tahoe and enjoy any of the early-season snow then this might be the next best thing - letting the snow scene come to you.
SnowBomb.com will be hosting the Sacramento Ski & Board Festival this weekend (Nov. 10-11) at Cal Expo, where it celebrates the Winter 2012-13 season with Northern California's wildest trade show series.
Snowbomb will also have an event the following week, Nov. 17-18 at Santa Clara Fairgrounds in Silicon Valley.
The Ski & Board Festivals will include wine and beer tasting, discounted gear, and ski and snowboard pass deals. Tickets are on sale now, with online discounts at www.SkiandBoardFest.com.
"We're revolutionizing consumer trade shows to connect skiers and snowboarders with a fun slice of mountain culture in their own backyard," said SnowBomb.com founder Jim McAlpine. "We're laying out one-of-a-kind entertainment in a pray-for-snow party atmosphere."
An adults-only beverage exhibit will have an estimated 50 wine and beer vendors awaiting attendees thirsty for a unique twist of scoring the best gear and season pass deals, all under one roof.
The festivals offer something for all ages, including climbing walls, bounce houses as well as exhibitions by Pro BMX riders and Rail Jams by local freestyle skiers and snowboarders at all three events.
People that attend the SnowBomb festival additionally receive two free lift tickets and a complimentary subscription to SKI or Transworld Snowboarding magazines, and are entered to win raffle prizes including a grand prize of free day of heli-skiing near Lake Tahoe with Pacific Crest Heliguides near Lake Tahoe.
