Man Sentenced in 2004 Murder

District Attorney Jan Scully announced that the Honorable Maryanne Gilliard sentenced 37- year-old Ignacio Bulahan for the May 19, 2004 murder of Thyotis Jackson. Last month, Bulahan was convicted by jury of first degree murder. Bulahan received a sentence of 25 years to life in prison plus 1 year for the use of a deadly weapon.
The homicide was unsolved until 2010 when an individual came forward with information that assisted the Sacramento Police Department in linking the murder to Bulahan.
