Teens Seriously Injured in Rio Linda Hit and Run

On February 21, 2013, at approximately 10:22 p.m., two 17 year old boys were traveling  together, one was riding on a bicycle and the other on a skateboard on the east side of Dry Creek Road just north of Elkhorn Boulevard.  The boys were riding southbound in the bike lane.  A Ford truck traveling northbound on Dry Creek Road north of Elkhorn Boulevard traveled into the bike lane where the boys were located.  The truck struck both boys then continued northbound on Dry Creek Road, failing to stop at the scene.  Both boys were transported to Mercy San Juan Medical Hospital with major injuries. 

The vehicle is described as a large dark colored Ford truck.  The trucks right front side mirror is missing and should have possible damage to the hood, grille, and right headlight. The sobriety of the driver is unknown.
