Men Convicted on Murder and Robbery Charges
District Attorney Jan Scully announced that Jonathan Hudson was convicted by jury of first degree murder, first degree robbery and was found to have been armed with a gun. Jermaine Campbell was convicted by a separate jury of first degree murder, first degree robbery, the personal use of a firearm and the special circumstance of committing a murder during the commission of robbery.
In October 2010, Hudson and Campbell shot and killed 54-year-old James Walker while robbing him. Sheriff's deputies found Mr. Walker sitting in the driver's seat of his taxi cab and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Campbell's sentencing is set for April 2, 2013 and Hudson's sentencing is set for April 26, 2013 in Department 18 of the Sacramento Superior Court.
