Sleeping Woman Allegedly Stabbed by Husband

On 3-20-13, at approximately 1:00 am Woodland police officers were dispatched to W. Cross St. regarding a victim who had been stabbed in the chest by her husband.  When officers arrived on scene they apprehended Guillermo Aldama, a 35 year old Woodland resident, without incident.

Upon further investigation, it was determined that Aldama had stabbed his wife in the upper chest with a knife while she was sleeping with their nine year old daughter next to her.  The victim was transported to UC Davis medical center were she was treated for her non-life threatening injuries.

Aldama was booked at Yolo County Jail for attempted murder and child endangerment.
