$8 Million Pavement Repair Work Underway
The Sacramento County Department of Transportation (SACDOT) has started up $8.1 million dollars in pavement repair work for 41 unincorporated area streets.
With contacts recently approved by the Board of Supervisors, project work will include: placement of rubberized or conventional asphalt overlay; installation of ADA curb ramps; roadway restriping; and, other improvements necessary to complete the overlay.
Project work is underway and will be completed by late October. "These pavement repairs will provide a smoother driving surface for thousands of commuters who are on the road every day," said Mike Penrose, SACDOT Director. "The contracts awarded will also be a boost for the local economy."
