Sexually Transmitted Disease Campaign in Sacramento
The Division of Public Health launched a new sexually transmitted disease (STD) campaign this month called "Don't Think. Know."
The campaign is designed to address the high STD rate in Sacramento County, specifically focusing on Gonorrhea and Chlamydia. The "Don't Think. Know." campaign targets women ages 15 - 24 who do not have access to a primary care doctor.
The program allows consumers to test for Chlamydia and Gonorrhea in the privacy and comfort of their own home. The test kits are free and come through the mail in a non-descript mail package. The test includes a pre-paid, pre-addressed return pouch to send the test kit to the lab. Getting tested is as easy as 1-2-3.
