25 Year Olds Arrested in Connection to Shooting Death

The Sacramento Police Department has arrested 25-year-old Ruben Guajardo and 25-year-old Gino Taylor for murder related to the shooting death of Victor Aranda.

On Saturday, January 25, 2014, at approximately 10:02 p.m., Officers responded to the area of Hermosa Street and 47th Avenue to find Aranda had been fatally injured.

Responding officers determined that the victim was shot as he was standing in front of a residence near the edge of the street.  Shortly after the incident police discovered multiple involved subjects fled on foot just after the shooting.

An immediate investigation was conducted and two of the suspects believed to have fled after the shooting were identified as Guajardo and Taylor.  Detectives determined that this was not a random incident.  The motive for the shooting is believed to have stemmed from an ongoing dispute between the victim and two suspects.

On Wednesday, January 29, 2014, Detectives arrested both Guajardo and Taylor in connection to the active and ongoing homicide investigation.
