Bicyclist Critically Injured: Public Assistance Needed
Update: The CHP reports that the cause of the injury is currently undetermined at this point and no damage occurred to the bicycle.
On February 15, 2014 at approximately 6:00 p.m., a seventeen year old boy was riding a black Schwinn cruiser style bicycle on the north shoulder of westbound Fair Oaks Boulevard east of Marshall Avenue. The teenager was traveling in an easterly direction.
For unknown reasons, the bicyclist fell from his bicycle and struck his head. He was transported to Mercy San Juan Medical Hospital with major head trauma and is listed in critical condition. He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the collision.
The CHP is investigating this collision and the circumstances leading up to this collision. The CHP is seeking public assistance in looking for possible witnesses or any additional information that may assist CHP Investigators with this collision.
