1 Dead in Shooting on Edison Avenue




At approximately 10:05PM on Sunday, March 16th, the Sheriff's Communications Center received multiple 9-1-1 calls reporting a man had been shot near the 2500 block of Edison Avenue. 

When Deputies arrived, they found a man had been stuck by gunfire.  Medical personnel pronounced him deceased at the scene.  Homicide Detectives have limited information on the victim, whose name will be released by the Sacramento County Coroner's Office, pending identification and notification to next of kin. 

The identity of the people or persons involved, along with the motive behind the shooting has yet to be determined.
