Violent Assault in North Sacramento




At approximately 8:30 AM today, March 25, 2014, the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department received a call from a female at a local sandwich shop in the 5000 block of Auburn Boulevard, reporting she had been assaulted by a stranger when she arrived to work. 

When Deputies arrived, they discovered a victim in her early-mid 20's had been violently attacked inside of the business.  The victim sustained significant physical injuries from the attack and reported she had been sexually assaulted by a male wearing a mask over his face and dressed in all dark clothing.  The victim was transported to the hospital to receive immediate medical treatment. 

Sheriff's Sexual Assault Detectives responded to the scene and are currently compiling evidence and follow up information for their investigation.  It is unknown at this time a description of the suspect outside of the dark clothing and facial covering or motive for the assault.
