18 Year Old Killed in Sampson Boulevard Shooting

Share It

Sacramento County Sheriff's Deputies responded to the 5600 block of Sampson Boulevard just after midnight (April 12, 2014) to find an 18 year old male victim had been shot.  The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.

A second shooting victim in his late teens was also located nearby and was transported to a local hospital for his injuries, which appear to be non-life threatening at this time.

Sheriff's Homicide Detectives responded to the scene to determine there to have been a small party at a residence when unwelcome guests arrived and began a confrontation with the party goers in the backyard.  Both victims were likely shot in the backyard and were found nearby.

The identity of the decedent will be confirmed and released by the Sacramento County Coroner's Office, once next of kin notification has been made.

Detectives are asking anyone having information regarding this incident to contact the Sheriff's Department at (916) 874-5115.  Tip information may also be left anonymously at www.sacsheriff.com, by texting 274637 (CRIMES) and entering the keyword 'SSD', or by calling (916) 874-TIPS (8477).
