Glow Footgolf May 3rd at Foothill Golf Course

[Citrus Heights, CA] - Local business Foothill Golf Course located off I-80 and Greenback on Verner, is pleased to announce that they are hosting the first ever, in the Sacramento Region, Glow FootGolf on their FootGolf course this  Saturday, May 3, 2014 starting at dark!   The public is invited to come play 18 holes for $18 of FootGolf in the Dark with a specialized ball that will Glow!  Bring your glow in the dark shirts, eyewear and jazz up your knee high socks for some extra fun, remember although FootGolf is played with a soccer ball, no cleats.

Foothill Golf Coursed opened their FootGolf course designed by Arturo Barragan, in September of 2013.  Judy Flint, course manager, is excited to offer Glow FootGolf to the FootGolf community and hopes to attract new FootGolfers.  "FootGolf is growing in Sacramento, and nationwide,  we are seeing those fans come to our course with enthusiasm and now look forward to offering Glow FootGolf!"  Foothill Golf Course offers Glow Golf and has waiting lists for most of those tournaments.  The course is expecting Glow FootGolf to be received with the same excitement.

FootGolf is a combination of the popular sports of soccer and golf. The game is played with a regulation #5 soccer ball on shortened holes with 21-inch diameter cups. The rules largely correspond to the rules of golf.    Glow FootGolf adds the "Glow" factor to the game by allowing players to play at night with a specialized ball.

Lilli Bewley, CEO and Co-Founder of the California FootGolf Club states, "We are excited for the first ever Glow FootGolf event in Sacramento.  This will be a great opportunity to see what FootGolf is all about:  friends and fun, in a non-competitive and unique way.  We are encouraging all of our members to attend and have had a great response thusfar."

The FootGolf tournament will kick off at dark on Saturday, May 3rd.  Forty FootGolfers will enjoy kicking the glow ball around the 9-hole course twice for the 18-hole tournament.  There will be plenty of prizes.  Reservations are highly encouraged.  Players should call Judy at 916-725-3399.

The 9-hole "Foothill" course at Foothill Golf Center facility in Citrus Heights, California features 1,096 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 27 . The course rating is 27.0 and it has a slope rating of 90.  Designed by Paul Ottaviano, Sr., Foothills golf course opened in 1961.  Our 9-hole FootGolf course at Foothill Golf Center features 960 yards of FootGolf with a par of 32  designed by Arturo Barragan, and is sanctioned by the American FootGolf Association.
